Athlean-X. Jeff Cavaliere Athlean-X Review

Who has the best looking bod, long distance runners, bodybuilders, or athletes?

I believe that athletes have the best looking body. I don’t like the super-skinny look of people who do too much cardio and I don’t like the bulky look of people who lift too much weights.

Athlean-X is a program that teaches people how to get an athletic looking body like professional athletes have.

The author of this program is a trainer who actually works with major athletes to not only get their body into the best looking shape but the best performing shape as well (Check out some of the testimonials here).

His name is Jeff Cavaliere (Check out his picture here) and he served for three years as the physical therapist and lead strength coach of the New York Mets baseball team.

Jeff advocates a diet and fitness program that’s not focused on looks but on performance. If you train your body to be able to do things athletes do, it will also look like the body of an athlete or as close to it as you can get.

In the process, you’re supposed to achieve 3 things:

  • Burn a ton of body fat.
  • Build lean muscles mass (not just bulky ones).
  • Tremendously improve your fitness level and sporting ability.


Athlean-X Review

The Athlean-X program is based on the same workouts that Jeff Cavaliere does with his own clients but has been tweaked for the general public. You see, each sport requires its own workout routine so to be able to provide an online program, the exercises do need to be a bit more general.

I have recently done a workout from the Athlean-X program and I can tell you it was challenging but a lot of fun.

This is a 12 week program and it’s the closest thing you can find to having your own fitness trainer by your side in an online program that you download. The program has just a one time fee for its 12 week duration. And you can do it over and over again later, of course.

You get the following things:

  1. A master exercise manual that has 141 different exercises for various body parts. The exercises are all explained extensively with clear pictures. The exercises aren’t just for burning fat and getting some lean muscle tissue but they also improve flexibility, reach, leap, and all sorts of athletic capabilities.
  2. You get a detailed workout plan for each day of the 12 weeks. You just use the workout plan of the week that you’re on and read how to do the exercises in the Master exercise manual.
  3. You get detailed meal plans for each day of the 12 week program which help to make sure that you’re feeding your body what it needs to make the most of this program.

The workouts are challenging, I have to warn, and they will take some time to get used to. Even for someone who goes to the gym regularly you may need to adjust your workouts to this new style. However, I have no doubt that this kind of training yields results and has many positive effects on your body.

Pros:

  • Created by a well known and high quality trainer and expert.
  • Can help you to burn a lot of body fat fast.
  • Won’t make you too bulky but help you look athletic.
  • Includes a large collection of workouts with pictures.
  • Structured plan.
  • Has a detailed and structured eating plan.
  • Affordable and has a money back guarantee.

Cons:

  • The program seems to be geared more for men but I believe that women who wish to be more athletic can use it too.
  • May prove too challenging for some people. Requires perseverance to weather the first few weeks.

In Conclusion

The Athlean-X program is not an easy plan to follow. However, I have no doubt that it produces results. In fact, it may be one of the best structured plans for getting a lean, athletic look and improving your fitness at the same time.

I believe that the workouts in this program, while challenging, can prove to be more interesting than regular gym workouts, help you enjoy your workouts more, and make you ache to workout again.

If you want an athletic, lean body, than Jeff Cavaliere’s Athlean-X is a good choice.
