If you’re interested in weight loss and have done your bit of internet search on the topic, chances are, you are already familiar with the name Tom Venuto.

Venuto is a popular fitness trainer, health club manager, coach for over 20 years and a popular writer on the Internet. His book, Burn the Fat and Feed the Muscle has been a best selling ebook for years now and he is actively involved in seminars, talks and community forums on his websites. In short, the writer of the book is an expert, and he knows what he is talking about – which says a lot!

How does Venuto achieve it?

Basically, there are no outright recommendations on what you should eat and should not. But, that is nothing to be disappointed about. In fact, Tom explains the principles of healthy eating in such detail that after a proper reading, you won’t need any specific recommendations on what to eat and what to leave out.

Getting back to the book, the first few chapters bust a number of myths about body fat while it explains what body fat is all about and how it got there in the first place. In the next couple of chapters, Venuto deals with the emotional and mental aspects of eating. The final chapters of the book help people learn how to maintain their new weight through good nutritional habits, proper exercises, good support groups and effective journaling. This is something rarely found in popular diet books.

The best thing about the book is that it teaches you everything you really need to know about permanent weight loss and continued good health. The book is an interesting read and although it packs a lot of information, nothing is extraneous. Overall, the book is practical and draws on the author’s practical experience in this field.
