Question: One of the things you warn about in your program is High fructose Corn Syrup. Why is it bad for someone who’s trying to lose weight?

Answer: High Fructose Corn Syrup is like a sneaky little fat loss villain whose job is to silently sabotage everyone’s fat loss efforts while hiding in the foods that are marketed as so called healthy foods.  This artificial sweetener among others is treated as toxins in your body.  Your livers job is to flush out fat and toxins.  If you are consuming HFCS your liver will get bogged down in dealing with all these toxins and not burn fat efficiently.  Also, HFCS has been shown to increase fat storing hormones such as insulin and also suppress he hormones that tell us we are satisfied causing you to eat more.  Any way you look at it this artificial sweetener is a major cause of weight gain and is found in so many foods today because it’s cheap to produce.

Question: How much weight can someone lose with the Secret to Burning Fat?

Answer: You can lose all the weight you need to lose and keep it off.  The reason so many people are having such great success with this program is because it’s based on you and your lifestyle instead of some fad diet trick that works for a little while and then all of a sudden stops.  This is NOT a diet it is a way of living and I’ve seen success stories of people losing over 130 pounds.  If you have just 10 pounds to lose or 100 pounds to lose it works.  The really cool thing is that it keeps working forever so you never gain the weight back.

Question: Do you advocate training with free weights or with exercise machines?

Answer: Without a doubt free weights are superior.  Exercise and fitness has changed a lot in the last decade due to our better understanding of the body.  Sitting on a fixed machine and counting out 10 repetitions is almost a complete waste of time if you want to lose fat.  The best training method to really blowtorch fat fast is functional training with free weights or other modalities like kettle bells.  The key is to burn as much fat as possible by burning as many calories as possible in a short time period.

Question: What are 3 strength exercises that you recommend doing to burn the most fat?

Answer: Squats are an amazing exercise that melt fat because they burn so many calories and boost all the good fat burning hormones.  Squats can be done with just your body weight, with dumbbells, on a stability ball, or with a barbell just to name a few variations.

Another fat burning exercise is lunges.  Lunges are great for many of the same reasons squats are great.  When you squat or lung you’re burning more calories than just about any other exercise.

Total body movements are not necessarily an exercise but I am going to rate this up there as my top exercise or way to train.  When you do a total body movement you’re recruiting almost every muscle in your body, burning a ton of calories, challenging your neurological fitness, balance, skill and core.  A simple example of a total body exercise would be a squat or a lunge to an overhead shoulder press using dumbbells.  I always try to incorporate a few total body exercises in every workout because the benefits are almost too many to name.

Question: In your program you explain that you just need 1 hour of workout each week to get excellent results. Can you really get results in such a short time?

Answer: It’s not how much time you spend it’s how you spend your time.  If you did 3 twenty minute workouts a week with a high intensity you would be able to see amazing fat loss results.  Some easy to follow techniques like H.I.T.T high intensity interval training will cut your cardio time down to 10 or 15 minutes just a few times a week.  Each of the fat burning workouts was designed to be done in less than 15 minutes to maximize results while minimizing time spent working out.

So yes you can see really great results in just one hour a week if you maximize your time.  Most people would much rather work really hard for a few minutes then spend hours working out.  It kills me to see the people in the gym do a set while sitting on a machine after they have been sitting all day and then talk to someone for a few minutes and then do another set and then some more talking, maybe head over to the water fountain, and talk some more before the next set.  That is a complete waste of time.  When it’s time to workout you should get focused, put some headphones on and go hard for 10-20 minutes, then you can talk after your done.

The fat burning workouts I designed can easily be done at the gym or at home so you can save the time of driving to the gym if you’re really busy.

Question: Finally, what advice can you give our readers who want to lose weight?

Answer: If you are serious about losing weight then I suggest you start by writing down your goal and give yourself a deadline.  Write down why it’s important for you to achieve your goal and how will it change your life when you get there.  Also, write

down how you will feel if you don’t take action a few weeks from now you still haven’t lost a pound.   This will get your motivation climbing and your wheels turning.

Next, start by eating natural foods.  Foods that come from the ground, foods that are grown on trees, or from an animal are best.  Eating naturally will help you get rid of all those toxins that are bogging down your body’s ability to burn fat.  Also, remember to eat according to your metabolic type and you will burn fat much faster.

Finally, start burning fat with fun and challenging total body functional workouts just a few minutes a couple times a week.  These will kick-start your metabolism, develop some lean muscles, boost your fat burning hormones, and skyrocket your energy.

I could go on for an hour but I know we don’t have the time.  Those three keys will get you moving in the right direction.
