It seems that people are obssessed with their weight and will go to any lengths to shed some pounds. Extreme measures like working out 6 times a week for 2-3 hours at a time, eating just 1 meal a day, making cabbage soup your only meal for days and weeks at a time, there is no shortage of extreme weight loss plans.
But, there is always room for more and more surprises, another step in the road to weight loss insanity. The Tapeworm Diet is an example of such a dangerous step.
Luckily, Tapworms are illegal in the United States and in many other countries, but this doesn’t stop many people from trying them anyway, either illegally or in other countries where the law is more lax.
Tapeworm can be consumed naturally through bad food, but digesting them voluntarily is sheer madness and may lead to serious side effects such as the formation of cysts in the liver, on the spine, and even on the eyes. In certain cases, especially those involving a pig tapeworm, it may become lethal.
However, the desire for a quick fat loss often overrides common sense and indeed, you can lose up to 2 pounds a week with a Tapeworm inside your gut, even if you eat a lot of fattening things.
How does the Tapeworm Diet work
This method works when you ingest food riddled with Tapeworm. In the countries in which this is legal, you will be given Tapworm to ingest. You have to make sure that they’re not from pigs or you may die as a result of this treatment. As I said, any Tapeworm is risky but beef is much safer than Pork.
The Tapeworm inside your gut damages the digestive process. It simply reduces your ability to digest food properly so you can eat more but it won’t turn to fat or get stored in your body. This seems like a dream come true, but just remember the risk.
Tapeworm related weight loss products have been banned by the FDA. Using a more sensible eating plan like the Every Other Day Diet is a much better idea.
Tapeworm Diet Pros and Cons
Pros:
- You can lose a lot of weight fast
- You can lose weight while still eating a lot
Cons:
- Banned from use by the FDA
- Illegal in many countries
- Usually administered in foreign countries by shady clinics
- May casue severe health risks which may be fatal
- You will need to take medicine to get rid of the Tapeworm
- Once the worm is removed, you will likely gain the weight back
Overall, this is not a weight loss method worth considering. It’s dangerous, illegal, and is short term at best. With so many other great diets on this site, why choose something so risky.
