Summary:

Xtreme Fat Loss Diet is a 25 day fitness and nutrition program for very rapid fat loss.

The Xtreme Fat Loss Diet is a new nutrition and workout fat loss program created by Joel Marion, a well known nutrition and fitness expert and author. He has also been recognized by Men’s Fitness magazine as one of America’s Top 50 Personal Trainers.

This time, Joel focuses on helping men and women

achieve the most rapid fat loss possible in 25 days. This is the duration of the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet.

I recommend checking out the following before and after pictures of people who used this plan and to read some testimonials: Click here to read some Xtreme Fat Loss Diet Testimonials

This rapid fat loss is arrived at with a unique eating and workout routine that incorporates several special fitness and diet approaches.

Does the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet work or is it a scam? Let’s see how it works…

The Xtreme Fat Loss Diet program revolves around a 5 day cycle which is repeated 5 times in the duration of the diet to make up for the complete 2
Here are the days which are included in each cycle:5 days.

Cheat Day : Density Training Day

The Cheat Day of each cycle is a day in which you can eat even fattening foods like pizza and ice cream.

You do this to boost your leptin levels and encourage faster fat burning. Leptin is a hormone that’s largely responsible for your metabolism and fat burning. A higher level of leptin often means a faster metabolic rate.

The problem with conventional diets is that when you cut your calories, your leptin levels diminish making it harder and harder for you to burn more weight. This happens gradually so 1-2 days of calorie restriction won’t hurt you but as you continue to limit your calories, your leptin levels will plummet.

A Cheat Day every once in a while helps to reset your leptin levels and maintain a high metabolism. It also has excellent psychological benefits as being able to eat “non diet” foods like pizza every 5 days helps you stick to any diet plan for as long as you need.

The Density Style workouts on this day help to protect your lean muscle tissue while you’re shedding fat so you can have that toned look.

Shake Day: Strength Training Day

On the Shake Day of the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet, Joel Marion advocated getting all your calories from special nutritional shakes. This helps you to have a low calorie day (but

not near as low as the fast day) because you know exactly where to get all your energy from.

You do strength training to help maintain lean muscle mass and let your body recover optimally from the more intensive workouts of cheat and fast days.

Fast Day: Lactic Acid Training Day

man with six pack absOn the fast day, your leptin levels are soaring. This is the perfect time to create a massive calorie deficit and shed a lot of fat.

Because your leptin levels are high from your “cheating day”, your metabolism doesn’t slow down. Remember, Leptin takes a few days to really decrease.

You achieve this massive calorie reduction through a strategic one day fast. I say strategic because this is not a complete fast. You will be consuming calories, just a low amount of them.

In addition, you will also do lactic acid workouts that burn a ton more calories. The food you had on the cheating day gives you the energy to do these workouts so you can increase your calorie deficit and burn even more fat.

Moderate Carb : Dynamic Training Day

The Moderate Carb day of the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet you eat a diet in which 40

% of your calories come from carbs, 30% from fats, and 30% from protein.

This is a higher calorie day than days 2-3 but not as high as the Cheat Day. This eating pattern helps you to enjoy more food after the previous two days of lower calories and also gives you the energy you need to perform your Dynamic Training, a high metabolic workout that accelerates fat loss.

Protein-Only Depletion : Lactic Acid Training Day

xtreme fat loss diet cover

The purpose of this day is to deplete the body of energy, “making room” for the Cheat Day which is coming on the next day (being the first day of the next 5 day cycle). Lactic acid training is done due to its intense fat burning effects.

The result of these different days and workout plans  is a rapid and massive fat loss.

Although the program itself is for 25 days in total (5 cycles), you can do it over every 8-12 weeks. In between, you need to do a more moderate workout plan which is something Joel Marion discusses in the program.

What’s included in the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet

  • Comprehensive diet manual
  • Training manual with all the different workouts of the program
  • Success log to track your progress
  • Supplementation guide

Hey,
I am just scared I have put on tons of weight in the last one year, I’m a pure vegetarian and need to lose a good 25 kgs. Does this diet really work?

Hi Sheena,

The program is effective, but it requires you to work hard with your workouts. If you’re motivated, give it a try.

I’m now starting Cycle 5. I wanted to lose 15 lbs. Cycle 1 I lost 3.5 lbs, Cycle 2 I lost 2.5 lbs, Cycle 3 I PUT ON 2 lbs, Cycle 4 I lost 1 lb! I know I have not done the exercises prescribed but it says it’s supposed to work reasonably well even without them. How can I have put ON weight in the middle of it?? I have put days of work into all the calculations and measuring and have not cheated once. Just by not drinking wine alone, I should have lost more than 5 lbs in 20 days. I am bitterly disappointed and frustrated.

Hi Jane, I appreciate your frustration but if you didn’t do the exercises you can achieve optimal results with the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet. I think that you can be happy with the weight that you lost.

Good luck with getting an answer. I’ve been trying to get a refund for over a month, and I’ve never had any reply to any of the emails sent to the support@joelmarion.net address.

I have never managed to get any reply or support from this address either. Besides, now that I have read the books, include the Accelerator Pack, I recommend all to wait for another edition. The first is seriously lacking in guidance on supplement amounts, improved worksheets, needs editing, and better guidance on recipe servings and nutritional breakdown. I spent days researching just to figure out what amount of food I should eat for each meal, how much of a supplement to take, dealing with the contradiction in nutrients I am to take in on Shake Days and the nutrient breakdown of the shake recipes provided. It has taken me a longer than desired to get started.

O.K. I would like to drop maybe 10 more pounds and 4 inches off my gut. I am in the military and currently deployed. how can this program work for me, if i barely have access to food? much less healthy food? can someone give me an insight as to what things i would need to be successful in this program? the only thing i have access to is a very small gym with free weights and some cardio equipment. thanks for any input.

So I e-mailed support@joelmarion.net at the beginning of this weight loss program and he replied right away. Now after I have finished and the program did not work for me, I e-mailed him asking for my full guaranteed refund. He won’t reply to ANY of my e-mails. Seems kind of fishy since he was so quick to reply before. Is he trying to get out of the guarantee? I’m not saying the program doesn’t work, it just didn’t work for me. But in case it doesn’t work, do you want to be stuck in the same situation as me where they won’t give you the refund they guaranteed? Thanks guys, I love it when promises aren’t kept.

Hi Kelly,

There is no possible way this couldn’t have worked for you if you did as you were supposed to do. As I already posted, I work 12-hour shifts, so I couldn’t follow the program verbatim. However, I did the best I could and lost 14 lbs in the 25 days.

Please share HOW it didn’t work for you. I am curious to know.

Thank you

I purchased the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet last friday around noon. I still have not received anything for my $67.00. I never got the download page and I have sent several e-mails to the support address given on Joels site and still nothing. Does anyone have a better e-mail address or maybe a phone number so I can contact his company and get what my bank has already been charged for. I just want to start the diet as soon as possible. I didn’t do the risk free trial because I have been waiting for this diet and I know Im going to love it, so I just opted to pay the full price. Of course now Im regretting it. Any help or insight would be appreciated. Cheers!

Hi, I am on day 6 of XFLD. I was wondering how many calories is too many calories for a cheat day? I feel like I may be WAY over-doing it. My calculated calorie intake for the other days of the diet is about 1100, so I was just curious how many over that is acceptable. Thanks!

Reply to this comment

Troy July 2, 2011 at 10:26 pm

You can’t overdo it, really. You are supposed to consume (as long as you don’t stuff yourself) three times your normal expected intake. As a 210 lb male, my intake should be around 2000 to 2600 calories. On a cheat day, I can go as high as 6000 to 7000 calories, believe it or not.

I work 12-hour shifts, so I cannot stick to the program with exactness, however, I did the best I could, and I lost a total of 14 lbs in 25 days, and my cheat day consumption was around 3000 to 4000 calories or more. It felt like I was being a pig, but when I fasted the next day, it all fell into perspective.

Hey everyone,

I started it 10 days ago and I love it! I honestly don’t know what my final results will be, but I feel amazing! I love that there is strategy behind everything that is going on. The workouts are kicking my butt and I am loving every minute of it! As for eating…a cheat day every 5 days….who could ask for anything more!? I think if you focus and go hard for 25 days you will be very happy with results and motivated to continue with a healthy lifestyle! They do have BCAAs in a powder form….I just add it to my water and a little crystal light and am good to go! Good luck to those that try it!

Hey Guys

Can anyone advise of they have lost weight on the programe while following a less strenous form of exercise? I am on day 2 of the first cycle, so its the fast day I have found the workouts too intense for me at my level, plus swallowing over a 100 BCAA tablets today its made me feel ill and given me a headache to the point where I coudln’t workout today, I found swallowing that many tablets too hard.

I would appreciate some feedback from anyone who is doing the programe with a less strenous exercise routine and getting really good results??

Joel is not good at responding to e-mails at all, thats the reason I upgraded was to get one on one with him! My first e-mail was answered with a 3 word answer which left me confused, I sent him another 2 e-mails which were completely ignored. So I have had to find my own answers as best as I can.

I too purchased the program and am on day 3. Day one was ok. I normaly eat healthy and found it hard to have a cheat day as I was not craving anything. Day 2 I lasted until 8 pm. I was not really hungry BUT CRAVINGS I wanted everything in sight. I had some carrot juice a hand full of blue berries then went and took a bath. After the bath I was still craving like crazy so I ate some popcorn. I have decided to do the workouts (because I paid for them) and modify where I need to. I am a Personal trainer and I try all programs first before I recomend them to my clients. I would not recomend them to my clients ever. I don’t often crave food and I could not handel the headaches, to many bcaa’s, and the cravings. I will be doing the eat basic foods no sauses, no dips, no bad stuff for 4 days and then on the 5th day if I crave something (one meal) I will have it then start again. Hope this helps. Kim

Thanks for the repsonse Kim. I never have a problem fasting in fact I do it once a month for health reasons so the fast day didnt bother me, but having to swallow 17 BCAA tabs 6 times a day made me feel really sick, not to mention the worst headache I have had in ages. Just looking at the bottle of BCAA I started feeling ill again. I also found the workouts too hard on my joints, 4 days later from my first workout and my knees are still painful! Can you advise since you are a personal trainer, on a fast day what is a good amount of BCAA to take? is it really neccessary to take so much? I had to take 51grams for the day.

I have started the XFLD. I can’t seem to find a forum for it, but people here seem to have some good ideas. My question is this: Are the “free veggies” allowed on all days or only on eating days? I don’t have any problem with the Fast Day, I couldn’t get through 5 shakes on the Shake Day, only 4. And I found I just didn’t have enough room for wter with all of that liquid. I didn’t use whey powder because I don’t do dairy, so used almond milk. I am also not able to do the intense work-outs. I am working out, but not as suggested. I saw on the ad that someone he knew had good results without following to the letter the work-outs. I’ll let you all know how I do. Heading into day 4, solid food, yay!

Troy June 3, 2011 at 8:35 pm

Yay, Dawn! Please let us know how you did. I am starting on the 12th. I had to order the supplements, and I have set up five continuous days off from work so that I can start the program and get used to it all on the right foot.

I will be trying to follow it to the letter…except, of course, for the fish problem I have (if you’ve read my other posts).

Just for the record, John, Mr. Joel has still not answered either of my two emails. Oh, well…nine days until I start. Counting them down anxiously.

Troy May 29, 2011 at 3:43 pm

Just a note: I am about ready to start this program, however, I wanted everybody to know who hasn’t purchased it yet, that Joel does NOT, I repeat, does NOT return email questions like he says he does in his sales pitch. I have been waiting for a week for a response to my question that asks what I can use in replace of the planned meals instead of fish, since I am allergic to the stuff. I have received NOTHING…not even from one of his grunts. I also asked what he recommended I do, since I am a weekend, 12-hour shift night worker, and up days during the week. NO ANSWER! It seems that once they get your money, they could give two craps about you!

By the way, if anyone has an answer to these questions, I would highly appreciate it, so I can get started with this program. I would have started last week, if the guy would have simply answered my email.

Hi Troy,

This is very disturbing. I believe it may be due to sheer volume of emails. From what I understand, over 15,000 people got a copy of this program last week. I’m sure you’ll get an email from Joel Marion soon.

Thank you for your reply, John. As far as my questions go, I have answered one myself. I am just going to stay strictly on my work schedule all 25 days. So I will go be up all night, going to the gym, eating, etc., and sleeping during the days. However, my other question still needs to be addressed. Would you happen to have an answer for the “fish” question? Can I just substitute chicken or lean beef for the fish?

Thanks,
Troy

As long as you’re having the same amount of protein, I see no reason why you cannot have chicken or beef. Fish is generally advised as it’s very healthy in omega 3′s, but allergies are allergies. You will be fine, just like someone like me who eats the same veggies all the time cos there’s only few I like :) I’m sure you will still get great results.

Troy June 3, 2011 at 4:01 pm

Thank you, Stephanie. I am supplementing with Omega 3′s, which don’t affect my allergy, whatsoever. Besides, the taste of fish disgusts me anyway.

Thanks so much for this forum! Clearly another example of a plan over selling their product. The only thing I wish is that WOD would do more objective reviews. This is clearly a diet that requires some very radical eating and work outs. Now I can deal with the workouts and the site is fairly clear that you will need to work hard, but the eating part is not touched on at all. If it weren’t for this forum I too would have wasted my money and more importantly my time.

Take care and happy body image to all!

Hi Jack,

I’m not sure what you mean by not objective. The review does touch on the eating part of the program. In addition, these comments are all moderated. This shows that WOD does allow negative and positive comments on the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet to appear for all to see. How can it be more objective than that?

Hi,

You can get protein from eggs, fish, or meat.

May I ask why you plan on waiting for March 12th? The best thing you can do is get started as soon as you can. Get the program and make a schedule for all your workouts. When you do start it, everything will be ready.

After losing 5kg of fat in 25 days I am ready to shift to Cheat Your Way Thin. However the CYWT only recommends a few MIIT workouts a week and to “keep active”.

After all the daily resistance and/or cardio or HIIT on Xtreme, it seems like a pretty wimpy followup.

What is the best way to combine all the workouts I learned in Xtreme with CYWT?

Reply to this comment

John August 4, 2010 at 1:47 am

It is true that Cheat Your Way Thin is a less strenuous plan than XFLD. I believe you do have leeway in making the workouts on CYWT harder according to your fitness level.

Reply to this comment

AT August 4, 2010 at 5:47 pm

Yeah, that is what I figured.

Leeway is good, but I think it gets confusing for customers moving from one program to the other as to what is optimal.

MIIT 20 min or HIIT 8-10 min?
How much resistance, how much cardio?

I don’t mind working out 5 days a week, but I find without guidelines I am inconstant. That is why I liked the XFLD, as the plan, though intense, was quite defined.

The following is the guarantee that is given by Xtreme if you do not lose the most that you have ever lost on any other diet. You may be careful about what you determine to be “No Hassles, or hoops” because in order to get a refund you have to prove to them that you completed the full program. Think about that. You have to submit your daily logs and they get to determine if you completed the program or not. Just a heads up if you are thinking that the refund will be prompt and easy like the guarantee states. This has NOT been my experience.

“We stand behind our product as the fastest fat loss program ever created, and if doesn’t yield those results for you when followed, you get your money back. No hassles, no hoops to jump through, just a prompt, courteous refund.”

I haven’t emailed, but he should have a forum or even an Q&A on facebook for a few minutes each day. On Protein depletion, if I read things correctly, @ 258-72(bf%)=185(LBM)x 2 grams = 370grams / 5 meals = 74 grams of protein for 5 meals. That seems alot.

I am just wandering as I really cannot get the proteinshakes down, so on shake day, is it okay that I just eat meat/carbs and fat in meals from normal groceries? I have calculated that I get the same amount of all the nutritions just in solid food instead of shakes. in my point of view it should be ok. What do you say?

Hi, i wonder if this can work for me, I don’t have so much fat to lose, maybe 4kg. I just wonder if this programme can help me firm my body and if I can get some lean muscles???
And another question; I’m worried about the ‘shake day’ cause’ I only eat 2 times/day. I’m not hungry in the morning and sometimes I don’t have time to eat lunch. So i’m worried about that this ‘chock-day’ would not come as a ‘chock’ for my body…

Considering that many foods have some combination of protein, carbs, and fats, it seems like it would be quite challenging to hit one’s numbers on the Moderate Carb day without an excessive amount of time spent looking up nutrient breakdown (on food labels, in nutrient data books, etc.) to plan meals. Any advice?

Also, what if I have a day where I’m literally out at work all day and have a social event immediately afterward with no time for workouts? And if this happens on a Shake day, how do I even keep to the diet without having to bring supplies and a blender on location (quite awkward!)?

SB — thank you so much for this information about getting a refund thru ClickBank. I have been emailing with Marion customer service since June 6th. Don’t believe what they say about simply contacting them for a refund because they offer a 100% moneyback guarantee — not true! There is a hassle and you jump thru hoops but get NO WHERE!!!! I’m truly hoping that ClickBank comes thru for me.

Thanks for letting others know that getting a refund is not as easy as they make it sound in the bold print. Read the fine print and yes you discover that you need to complete the entire program and then if not satisfied you can ask for the refund. I did the program for a week, found the diet portion to be miserable and was alarmed when another well know trainer advised that the workouts were too much, as in likely to lead to injury. I asked for a refund and was told no, not if I did not complete the program.

Hi Jeff,

The easiest thing is to get a refund through clickbank. No one will ask any questions of you there.

As to the workouts being too hard to perform, this isn’t a workout plan for beginners. It’s made quite clear on the official site itself in which it says that this is an extreme plan. This is why this plan is only for 25 days.

have purchased this program in good faith thinking yes great finally an intelligent program, only to be really disapointed by it first of all at no point was there any indication of amount of money that would be required for all the supplements aslo when I looked at the exercise routine I knew straight I was way out of my depth as I am not experienced enough having just joined a gym in February after a 10 years break. I mentioned this to your support team only to be sent a beginner exercise routine which I showed to my trainer at the gym who agreed this was absolutely out of the question for a beginner! I feel this product is being totally mis sold! does anybody else feel the same??

Hi Joyce,

I’m sorry that you find this program unsuitable but lots of people are doing it and report good results.
You need to understand that this is not a product of WorlofDiets.com but of Joel Marion. We cannot provide you with support for this product. We just wrote a review of it.

Hi Joyce,

The exact same thing happened to me! I contacted Joel Marion’s support and they gave me the run around and refused to return. Don’t go through Joel Marion’s customer service. Contact ClickBank who processes the payments. ClickBank will promptly refund your money!

After dealing with Joel Marion’s customer service, I would NEVER purchase from them again!

Hi

I have a gluten intolerance, yeast and dairy. I eat fish and eggs – can this diet be successful when having these conditions?

I have just started the Xtreme weight loss plan. The fast day was fine but the Shakes day is a problem. I don’t have a sweet tooth and find taking protein shakes are awfully sweet. Can you take another sourse of protein on these days.

I bought this diet on 5/6/10 and have been on it now since 5/8/10. I found two small problems within the diet plan that I need to have answered but I can’t find any contact info. Is there anyway to get a hold of someone to answer the questions I have?

Hi Matt,
I can’t post Joel Marion’s support email here as I’m sure he wants it to be for customers only. However, when you ordered the diet you got an email receipt. In that email there’s a support email for Joel Marion. Use that.

How do I contact Joel with my questions? I purchased the extra pack that says I get a personal assessment to set up my plan, but no one has contacted me yet…

Hi,
I can’t publish the support email for everyone to see as it’s for customers only. In the receipt you got by email, there’s the support email you need to contact.

Just found this site.Purchased the program on 5/6/10. Don’t particularly want to download the material. Would rather have the books, etc. in hand. I emailed Joel Marion, but I wonder if you can tell me if I will receive the paper materials (and when) or if I only get the download version. I do better if I can read from a book since my computer is not in the place I will be working out. Thanks.

Hi Carol,
When you purchased XFLD, you got an email with the support email. Please contact Joel Marion through that email and he’ll get you all your downloads ASAP.

I am also interested, but I don’t like vegetables and I find all diet plans require you to eat many vegetables and that is where I fail. Is this going to be a problem on this diet? Also, I get headaches if I don’t eat enough. Are the fast days extreme? My husband works doing hard labor, will this diet give him enough energy to still do his day job?

Hi i was just wondering if most of the workout sections will need to take place in a gym so therefore will i need equipments like a running machine or can it be easily done at home. I am just trying to figure out if i am going to have to spend more money on a gym membership as well.

admin May 6, 2010 at 1:37 pm

The only equipment really required to do the workouts is basic equipment like a pair of dumbbells and a stability ball so no, a gym membership is not a must.

I just got the Fat Burning Furnace, is there a big difference between these two programs. Also, I’m vegetarian, wheat free, diary free, and have some fruit and veggie allergies, too. Will I be able to do it without eating meat? I do eat eggs, though.

Hi Laura,
Yes, there is a difference. The Xtreme Fat Loss Diet is more advanced. It’s a 25 day focused effort to burn off the most fat possible. The nutritional methods and workout routines and combos are very different.

You can eat eggs as your source of protein, yes. I don’t know whether you eat fish or not but that is also a possibility in this program instead of meat.

I live in Germany, so my question is: Does the food plan contains food that one can buy mostly anywhere or does it refer to a lot of products aimed at America and Americans? I have tried many other food, diet and exercise plans before and they almost always mention foods and drinks that cannot be bought here in Germany.

Hi,

You can get the food in Germany. I don’t think anyone who lives in Europe will have a problem with the food at all.

i purchased the diet this afternoon. it looks ok, but beware- you have to be EXTREMELY dedicated for 25 days. this is not something that really allows for slip ups. i think you could do the diet if you have allergies- there are substitutions for just about everything now ( i can’t drink milk and use soy instead)- you just have to keep your macro-nutrients in check. there is a lot of counting (cals, carbs, fat, protein). to follow it perfectly, expect to spend money on curtain supplements (protein powders and such, not diet pills). i’m still not sure if i am going to keep it yet, and the only reason i’m considering it is because i just got out of school and have a lot more time to dedicate to this.

I am worried that if I lose weight too quickly, I will have loose skin. (I have around 50 lbs to lose) Is this something that can happen? I’m wondering if it is better to lose the weight slowly so that I don’t get loose skin. Or will the excercise program take care of this problem?
Thanks.

Hi Anita,
I believe that the workouts you’ll do will help you avoid the loose skin problem. Also, just because Joel Marion says that people can lose up to 25 pounds in 25 days, doesn’t mean you have to take it this fast. You can weigh yourself weekly and make adjustments if you feel that it’s going too fast.

In addition, you’ll be able to ask Joel these questions and any other you may have. I’m sure he will have the answers you seek.

I am disappointed that there isn’t more info–just that beginners can do this to. What about people with food allergies–dairy, eggs, gluten etc. Can they follow it. Athritis, knee problems… Will you get the refund if you order it and then find out that you can’t do it since this info is not made available before purchase?

admin May 5, 2010 at 8:42 am

Hi Sara,

You can get a refund no matter what. It’s a no questions asked money back guarantee.

As to the food, there are plenty of options so there shouldn’t be a problem.

As to people with bad knees or other conditions, it’s a little difficult to say as these can have varying degrees. I believe that the vast majority of people can do these workouts.

I don’t mind intensive workouts but I have a 40-hour job. Does anyone know how long the workouts last? I could do them before or after work but if somehow the optimum time to be working out is 2:30 in the afternoon then that does me no good. Anyone?

Hi, the workouts aren’t long and tedious but short and intensive. You don’t need to go exercise in the middle of your work day.

I am so interested in this diet plan but have no interest in the workout portion of it. I don’t do well with workouts that have me following along with sheets of paper. I’m more of a follow-along-to-a-dvd type of person. I wish there was a way to just purchase the diet.

Hi, I see what you’re saying, but in this case the workouts and diet go hand in hand. It’s the way to get the best results possible.

I want to order the Xtreme weight loss diet – looks like May 4th – Just putting in my hopes and maybe a good birthday gift for me (May 2nd!). I’ve shared this with my friend (who is a personal trainer) and she is hooked too. Looks like we will work together on the diet workout plan!

Audio part was on this site: http://XtremeFatLossDiet.com/audio.html
I may have miss led you – it’s a promo for the upcoming release of the diet… It’s good. More on the workouts would make it even better (for me anyway)
