The Get Lean Program is a 3 month long detailed eating and fitness plan. It was created by figure model Belinda Benn (picture below) and it closely follows the process she went through in her late 30s and early 40s to turn from an unfit woman who had never exercised regularly to a world known fitness and figure model.
Regardless of the amazing personal transformation that she went through (and I have to admit that I am impressed), I want to make sure that she can also help other people burn fat and get lean. This is why I decided to write this Get Lean Program review.

How does the Get Lean Program Work and What is It?
The Get Lean Program is a 222 pages digital book (that you can download to your PC, MAC, iPad, and so on). The book details the entire method by which Belinda Benn got lean and fit in her 40′s and ended up looking hotter than she did in her 20′s.
The program is spaced out over 3 months and includes 3 different phases in which you shed body fat in order to get lean. One thing that I need to stress is that the goal is to get lean, not thin.
The main difference is that when you get thin you may also lose a lot of muscle tissue and end up looking weak. Getting lean involves being toned and firm.
Note: It’s quite clear that Belinda Benn has a perfect body. You may feel that this is beyond your own abilities. One of the principles of the program is that you need to be consistent, not perfect. I agree with that mindset. Progression is the key.
This program is written for the regular person. You don’t need to spend hours at the gym or anything like that. 3 Workouts a week are enough, as long as you follow the eating plan.
The 3 phases of the program are:
1. Momentum – This is the initial phase where you begin eating correctly to boost your metabolism and shed body fat. Don’t worry, this is far from restrictive. You get to eat 3 meals and 3 mid-meal snacks each day. You also get two treat nights each week in which you can eat “non-dietary” things to prevent feelings of deprivation.
2. Acceleration – This second phase (on the second month) is when your body can now burn more fat and have sufficient energy with fewer calories. Now you only get 1 treat night per week, but even this should be enough to help you stick to the diet plan.
3. Peak Phase – During this 3rd phase you push yourself past the results you achieved by the end of the Acceleration phase and reach your optimal results.
Naturally, you can use these phases again to maintain your results over time.
What does the program Include
It’s clear that the author has put a lot of love and effort into creating this program and it shows in the material. For instance, as part of the program you get detailed day by day meal plans for the entire 90 days you will be on the program.
I’m talking about detailed mean by meal plans for the entire 3 phases over 3 months. You won’t have to do any guess work to follow this program and to lose fat. There is also a guide on how to make substitutions to the various foods in the plans, just in case you prefer other foods.
The meal plans are made up of natural food, with low Glycemic Index, a variety of fruits, lean protein, nuts, complex carbs and so on. There is a lot of variety.
You also get 50 Fat Burning Recipes that you can also use during the program or afterwards.
There are a lot of explanations about why the Get Lean Program works so you’re not just following it blindly. The way the program is written is very friendly and never condescending so you will feel good while following it.
Part of the program is dedicated to emotional eating and establishing a better and healthier relationship with food. This is something that Belinda Benn had to struggle with in the past and she knows that this is a problem that must be addressed. Most programs don’t deal with this so this is a major plus of the program.
Dedicated support: I’ve contacted Belinda Benn myself to create this review and I’ve received very fast replies. This is a good sign as you also get 90 days of email support from her to answer all your questions in addition to weekly emails from Belinda to make sure you’re getting the most benefit from the program.
This isn’t a plan where the author just leaves you to deal with things yourself. You have someone to lean on throughout the process.
The exercise section of this program is far less extensive than the nutritional part. It includes general guidelines and advises you to simply workout by doing activities that you like. It would have been better if she had included more detailed exercise guidelines. However, you can still lose body fat with this program based on the nutritional plan
It is often considered a big challenge to get fit in your 40s. The Get Lean Program shows that it is never too late to create your own body transformation. Belinda Benn is living proof of this.
This is an extensive and doable nutrition plan that also deals with the psychological aspect of weight loss. With the support that Belinda Benn is offering, I have no doubt that you can lose fat with this plan and achieve a true body transformation.
Note: This is mostly perceived as a diet plan for women. However, I believe it can work for men as well.
